Palais Garnier (Opera House) (4/30/24)

When I entered the Palais Garnier, the first I noticed was the lighting of the place. The grand staircase is lit up by chandelier of bright light and is supported by a small square glass ceiling. The lighting makes the place seem magically and made the painting and sculptures around it stand out. In the grand foyer, the gold on the walls and ceiling helped make the painting stand out. I noticed all the painting are at the top of the walls or on the ceiling and columns/structure of the walls helped directed  I believe that the Palais Garnier is important culturally because it was built of the middle-class of Paris. Napoleon could see that the middle class was riding in status and he had to represent them. Back then Palais were for the nobility so Napoleon wanted to make a Palais for the middle class so they had a place to flaunt their riches. It was a place where the middle class can feel like the nobility. The Palais had many riches in it and it is very easy to wealthy in there. It rep
